    What You'll Do/Need

    Position Summary

     In this newly created position and reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of Integrated Talent Management (ITM) will build, lead and develop a Talent Management center of excellence by creating talent management and leadership development initiatives, programs and deliverables aligned with the company’s strategic priorities and annual goals. 


    This team member possesses a passion for talent management and leadership development as well as great analytical and critical thinking abilities. The Director of ITM is responsible for developing and implementing talent management and organizational development strategies and solutions across the assigned divisions, functions and regions to drive a culture of career growth and talent mobility, handling change management efforts, and enhancing employee engagement and leadership capabilities across the organization.


    Position Responsibilities


    • Lead and partner with respective business unit leadership team and their respective HR business partners (HRBPs) to identify needs and create talent and leadership development strategies aligned to our integrated talent management strategy
    • Partner with the Talent Management team to leverage programs and tools to drive development of team members and leaders
    • Lead and partner with HR and senior leaders to diagnose and develop training programs and/or interventions that help build exceptional talent
    • Establish consistent talent planning strategies and approaches for the team
    • Champion top talent and guide individual development plans to maximize experience, skill and readiness for the next role
    • Partner with the Group team on ideation, development and implementation of group talent initiatives
    • Implement and drive regular sharing of opportunities within and across teams to leverage talent management alignment and resources
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition to help attract and hire talent for key openings
    • Assist in the development of job descriptions for new and existing positions, and facilitate required approvals with appropriate stakeholders
    • Develop partnerships with community, education and employment agencies to create a pipeline of candidates and make Bedrock Detroit a career destination
    • Evaluate selection criteria and assessment solutions to ensure compliance with standards and help with revisions
    • Facilitate meetings, focus groups and other working sessions to help solve difficult problems and align disparate viewpoints
    • Develop evaluation strategies to assess return on investment of talent-related initiatives
    • Gather and use metrics and analytics to effectively measure, benchmark and monitor the impact of talent development initiatives on organizational and individual learning and success
    • Conduct research on best practices to support continuous improvement
    • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans, including plans for communication, coaching, training and resistance management as well as a sponsor roadmap
    • Advise on the implications and risks of change adoption and make recommendations on factors that may impact its sustainability
    • Establish key performance indicators and develop metrics to track execution, monitor progress against key change management deliverables and measure the success of the change strategies

    Position Requirements


    • Master’s degree in organizational psychology, organizational design or human resources management required; talent development certification(s) a plus
    • 15+ years progressively responsible experience in learning, training or organizational development; management experience strongly preferred
    • Experience with and understanding of adult learning and adult learning processes, including strong instructional design skills
    • Demonstrated business acumen as it relates to transferring organizational goals and direction into education and development activities that drive change
    • Ability to effectively interface with and influence team members and leadership at all levels of the organization and cross-functionally
    • Keen analytical ability demonstrated by the ability to analyze and respond to needs and to measure outcomes
    • Experience working in support of inclusion through development; previous HRBP experience is an asset
    • In-depth experience with multiple approaches and technologies related to change management, performance management, and talent management and development initiatives
    • Strong project management skills and facility with project management tools
    • Strong vendor management skills
    • Ability to effectively and constructively lead change in an organization
    • Significant experience building training curriculums
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-learning platforms and human capital management platforms such as Workday
    • Willingness to work and integrate with multiple partners
    • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize while being agile and adaptable
    • Demonstrated integration and strategic planning skills
    • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
