What You'll Do/Need

The Team

Oversees all aspects of the development and construction process in addition to supporting the acquisition process. Hiring and directing architecture and engineering consultants as well as construction managers, the Bedrock Construction Team is dedicated to facilitating project collaboration and cohesiveness of all team members interacting with a development requirements and fostering relationship with the city, state, and federal agencies.


Job Summary The Project Manager, Procurement will assist the VP of Construction to develop, organize, implement and manage construction cost savings initiatives.


Essential Functions

  • Research and propose new construction materials procurement strategies that maximize bulk spending across multiple development projects.
  • Execute and manage construction materials procurement strategies including supplier outreach, RFP, negotiations, and contracting.
  • Evaluate opportunities for local construction material spend and propose potential supplier partnerships to maximize local spend.
  • Research and propose new construction rental equipment strategies that minimize rental equipment spend across multiple development projects.
  • Execute and manage construction rental equipment strategies and partnerships.
  • Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks for measuring material savings and rental equipment program performance.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement with responsibility for bulk purchase discount programs, rebate programs, and contract negotiations.
  • Must be an innovative but decisive individual who can work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-based environment; has the ability to set goals and expectations and hold others accountable; can encourage and mentor others; is approachable, empathetic and outgoing; can quickly gain trust and respect; and is able to establish and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with, and communicate clearly to internal and external team members including clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers and regulatory agencies.
