The Team

Oversees all aspects of the development and construction process in addition to supporting the acquisition process. Hiring and directing architecture and engineering consultants as well as construction managers, the Bedrock Construction Team is dedicated to facilitating project collaboration and cohesiveness of all team members interacting with a development requirements and fostering relationship with the city, state, and federal agencies.

What You'll Do/Need

Job Summary

This position will support the Bedrock Construction Team in its role as Owner Representative; work closely with the Project Engineer, Project Managers, Project Directors, and the Vice President; interact with internal teams, construction managers, trades and city departments; and be involved in various tenant improvement projects, new construction and existing building renovations.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Attend construction and design meetings
  • Communicate and follow up with Construction Managers, Architects, and Vendors as directed
  • Research as needed
  • Create spreadsheets and track data as needed
  • Visit active job sites weekly or as needed and report back to the Project Manager/Director

Requirements

  • Academic Majors: Construction Management
  • Class Standing: senior or graduate
  • Candidates with previous construction related experience are strongly preferred

Skills and Traits

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • General understanding of construction industry processes
  • Ability to read, understand, and summarize project documents including drawings and specifications
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • The ability to follow direction and follow a project to completion
